My poor flowers have been a bit neglected this year because of my travels, but it didn't seem to hurt them too much. I didn't dig my dahlias last Fall and replant this Spring, and some of them didn't come up, but those that did are taller and more abundant than last year. The ivy geranium in my deck planters went wild, as did the Gerbera daisies. Maybe everything liked the way Randy tended them.
Those tall purple thingy's, whose name I can't remember nor find the tag for, only came up 8" with no stalks last year and when I dug the 1" bulbs up they had multiplied many times over. I didn't separate them before planting them again and this is what they did. I should have taken a photo last week because there were twice as many stalks until a wind gust came through and blew them off the shelf on the top of the patio fence. Boy, do the bees love them. My hydrangea tree looked a lot better last week too, but so did I. Unfortunately, I don't get to start all over again next Spring.
