It's been three years since Gena's surgery and she's done a whole lot of living in that time. She married her beloved Matt just six months ago and they make their home in North Carolina, surrounded by their menagerie of birds and cats. She is doing great but still working to get her weight up, and work isn't an option yet, so she's working on that too. Being avid animal lovers, her and Matt volunteer at Saving Southern Kitties Rescue and Gena volunteers at the Adoption Center Rescue at Petsmart. Each day brings her closer to where she wants to be and they're both hopeful that babies are in their future. She's in a very good place right now and quite content. It looks like they're both in a very good place and quite content. Life is good at last.
